Well, I've finished my bottles...

So here's some photos of my bottles for the forty show....once I finished them, I realized three things....one, that painting on bottles is haaaaard...two, that I'm not a good painter (tho it is fun), and three, these looked soooooooooo much better in my head...so forgive me. Color really isn't my forte...I'm most comfortable with pencil and/or ink...maybe one or two colors tops...anyway...i have no idea how much to price these things...I'll let Mike price them...hehe...


I was playing around with sponges on the monkey bottle...it didn't turn out that well...kinda hard to have any kind of stencil with a bottle...and plus, I've just never done it before...

and here's one of Esther...and her banana slug hair clip that Karin made...damn...i feckin' love this thing...so does Esther...so, bug her 'bout making tons more so you can buy them too!! She has a whole bunch of different animals and stuff...chicken leg, dead fish, octpopus...and all of them are the rad.

here's the inital sketch that inspired one of my bottles for the forty show in vancouver. I might even be able to go to the show...and crash on schmiddy's couch, which is always fun...but he now apparently has face eating kittens now, so that should be nice. anyway...the show should be pretty cool...mike g is putting it together. so yeah. Yesterday Esther went to the doctor's again for her follow up..and got four shots, two per thigh...which completly sucked. it totally sucks having to hold your kid down while someone sticks them with needles...and one of the shots was the flu shot...another was polio....i forgot what the others were, protection against groundhogs i think. Anyway...she got a fever last night...she was miserable...couldn't get comfortable and stuff...we gave her some tylonol or how ever you speel it...too lazy to look it up. This morning she was all smiley and happy, not feverish...so yay!!! I hate not being able to help her. sigh...i suck. anyway...how was your evening?

and here's one angry yeti who stole the monkey's turtleneck sweater...he's a bad naughty angry yeti. and he has very bad breath...it smells of hot sick. and candy.

and stuff...Esther's first doctor was yesterday (thursday), and she was a trooper...literally, she had on some airborn gear and was about to do her third unassisted jump...but then the doctor came in...and touched her molar buds and she decided to stay with us. She got two shots in her thigh and cried pretty hard...and then she was done. then they decided that they wanted to keep some of her blood in containers for the museum of beautiful people...as they legally can't keep her there...i'd have to punch them in the neck if they tried to do that...or the ovaries..whichever was handier. anyhoo...she's totally kick bootay... some notes from this morning's meeting...

as you've probably already noticed, the meeting was about bears and how to befriend them...actually, I can't say what the meeting was aboot. It's all top secret, just like the movie, with cow costumes and glowing breasteses and the like....

here's a new design i've been working on for Esther. I wanna animate her...and the stamp is apparently my name in Chinese. I had it made whilst in China...and Joanna says that it seems to be sorta kinda like my name...at least it doesn't say "idiot" or "wanker", or something...

so i have a little time to draw again...this is my first day away from her, and i have to admit, it's kinda nice..heheh...sorry Huddle...but i am really looking forward to going home and playing. Anyway...just wanted to thanks the nice peoples who commented on my humble blog...and to let you know that i'm back and i can post more artwork now and again...werd up.

well, we're in guangzhou

okay, so we be in guangzhou now...we're in the final leg of the whole process. This is where we do the final paperwork and whatnots. She's getting happier by the day, but that smile is somewhat hard to capture on film for some reason. but there's a couple below...enjoy...

here we are, face to face, a couple of silver...nevermind...this is when we were waiting for our flight yesterday from nanning to guangzhou. we had like two hours to kill in the lobby of the hotel...yay...but we got that smile. man this photo makes me look like a bear...sigh...time for the full body wax again...

another smile in the carrier....there you can see the beginning of a zit, or "boil" on her nostril...don't worry, we're putting stuff on it....and it seems to be getting better...

here we is in our new apartment thing at the hotel...this place is freakin' huge. we're talking as big as my ego big...so you know that's huge...it has a bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom, dining room, and den like area...shesh...in this photo Esther is helping me air out my pits...it was that time of the day agian...you know how that goes.

oooh...tonight we went to this japanese restaurant attached to the hotel...here you can see me enjoying some really good steak...you can tell by the look on me face just how good it was...granted it was like four hundred chinese dollars, but it was worth it...okay, fine, that's equivilent to like 48 bucks american...but still pricy...but good.

and here we were earlier today at the doctor's office. She had to get all checked out and stuff...that's where we found out her zit is a boil...or something...anyway...huddle needs me to take over trying to get her to sleep...so caio for now...talk to you later....

and since there's no scanner here, i had to take a photo of the drawring i did. Just to let some people know what happend when we left:

we get to the airport, pleanty of time...then we find out our flight has been delayed two hours. exactly the time of our layover in san Francisco...due to fog there. So, we get to SF, twenty minutes after our flight left, Air china is closed for the day, we don't know where our luggage is, and don't know what to do...so...we go to united, after 'bout an hour we find out that we've been rebooked to beijing via LA. So we go to LA, then leave for Beijing at midnight...get to beijing 12 hours later, and our luggange is missing. so, by now, i've been in the same clothes for 'bout 36-42 hours...my deoderant is in the missing luggage. yay. So fill out the necessary forms, and meet our guy who takes us to our hotel, just in time to leave for the day's tour...to tiananmen square and the forbidden city...and it's really freaking cold here. like 28 degrees..then add a really nice wind...and it makes it feel like 12...and we didn't have our gloves and extra clothes and such...wee. anyway...it all worked out, we got our luggage that night, and today were pleanty warm when we went to the grat wall...oh, and the food here is kick arse. Love the noodles...i suggest you try them.

oh, 'bout the drawring...before we got our luggage, we were feeling a little sour...so we went to the local store to purchase some warmer clothes and deoderant for smelly pits, but no one spoke english...not even a little. So I had to pantomime deoderant to a very confused young lady. Later we had to pantomime a headache for some advil. It was kinda fun. a couple of us from the group were going to make up a game, where you had to get items only via pantomime, no words. we'd pick like three things and whoever finished first won. Stuff like laxitives and the like. but we didn't...we decided to pack for tomorrow...which is the day i get my daughter...so i'm kinda freaking out a bit...so i'm typing a lot...deal with it.
