hey look, it's changed...

made a few tweaks and stuff...so there. take that mr. poopy pants.

and just in case some of you are wondering, it's fer a book called cereal killers, info can be found here. He contacted me to participate and I was more than happy to do so...there's going to be a bunch of high rollers attatched to this project, so to be included in that group is awesome!! Anyway...just thought I'd let you kids know.

screw the work in progress...

So the thing was to make a creepy/horror themed cereal box cover...so I decided to go with the Creature from the Black Lagoon...because he's often forgotten aboot...and here is what I did...I don't know if I'm happy with it or not...it seems a little bland and crap...I tried to make it look somewhat like the poster...yet a cereal box at the same time...I dunno...eh. Anyway..feel free to critique and tear it apart. I won't hurt you...I'll just cry in the corner like I do every night...oh, and Esther's now eating apples...so that's pretty cool. She's also eating other babies...I'm not sure what that's all about, but I think that's just standard toddler behavior. She has to try out her new teeth. Anyway...don't forget to call your mother and tip your waitress.

work in progress...

I done apologizing for being busy...hehe...for now...anyway...just thought I'd show you a work in progress version of what I'm doing for this thing for that guy with the face...it's a mixture of photoshop and flash...anyway...not much for a post I know, but it's in color and stuff...so that should count for something, right? I'd show you more, but I'm going to stretch it out over a couple of posts because I'm evil that way...kiss kiss...hug hug, and fondle, fondle.

holy crap...has that much time transpired?!?

wow...over a month...sheesh...well, i guess you deserve an explanation...works been really great and really busy...milestone and all...plus Huddle went to Alaska for five days leaving me in charge of Esther....and she decided that the day Huddle left was the time to try climbin' outta the crib and doing an awesome flip and landing flat on her back. it was a 9.1...she didn't stick the landing...but, she's only 17 months...give her time...also, i've been asked to do a picture for a coffeetable book...i'll show you kids when i finish it...it should be soon...soo much has gone on and is going on...the wife and I are making the move to the east side..we'll be about a ten minute walk from work...which is totally aresome. uh...what else...i got to work with Mr. Trussell on some fun stuff..and...and....Esther really likes me. so i have that going for me, which is nice. Anyway, have a good evening, and i'll talk to you real soon...honest. cross my fingers.

so it's been a little while..sheesh...back off...it's not like anyone's coming here anymore...hehe...anyway...did this during rendering...so, there you goes...i'm gunna try and take an hour every monday to draws me somefin and i'll post it no matter how horrible it is...so beware. awesome. see you then.

to answer some questions...

my new gig is still in warshington, Kirkland actually...still doing game animation...amongst other responsibilities...like getting everyone coffee and changing their diapers and whatnot...i don't remember those last two in my job description, but, alas...i get the metal stick if i don't comply...so, yeah...i don't like the metal stick...it's cold and it hurts when they strike me about the head and feet....of course I'm kidding...it's actually rough wood so there's splinters...yay.

Holy crap!! it's been two weeks allready?!?

The new job is awesome!! I can't believe it's been two weeks allready..sheesh...time just flies by here...it's one of those things where you wake up at seven am..a little tired, but psyced to go to work, then you get to work start working on cool stuff, then someone tells you it's lunch time. You get back from lunch, and before you know it, it's six thirty...it's the radical. Anyway...sorry long time no post, will post more soon and stuff...just been busy and things...so, yeah...hope your mother's day was fun. Huddle's first mother's day was pretty good...thanks for asking. Talk to yous later.

I start me new job on Monday...yay!! It'll be good to work on stuff that's a little more me...plus i get to work with great people and stuff...so, uh, yeah...here's an angry monkey in a sweater vest. Enjoy.

the 40oz show was excellent!!

with a kiss from my daughter I was off this weekend to Vancouver to go to the fabulous 40oz show!! Lemme tell yous, a good time was had by all, well, most...the person who threw up didn't have a good time....hehe...photos here...

Here's the man who put it all together. Mike G, whose bottle kicked much butt by the way...the photo I took of it really sucked...granted, this was after I discovered the bar upstairs, so that might have had something to do with it....maybe...prolly not tho.

Lois Lane tried to steal my daughter!!!!

...sorta...well, not really...Margot Kidder was at Emerald City Comic Con this weekend when the family and I showed up to see what we could steal from Karin's booth. We all walked by and Margot saw the beauty that is Esther and she was mesmerized. She held her and Esther even got her to do the "oh no" thing that she makes grown ups do to look funny....she puts both of her hands on each side of her head and shakes it back and forth...well, she'll do it if we say "oh no!"...but she did it for Margot and Margot did it back...she then signed a photo for Esther...we picked the one where you can see superman's package standing next to Lois Lane...hehe...oh, and she fell and hit her head on the cement, but it really wasn't my fault...honest.


oh, and she's back to the whole posing thing for the cameras...sigh...it's almost so cute that it could cause siezures. Doesn't it kinda look like those depresingly cute photos that come with frames? The ones that say, your kid isn't this adorable, but buy this frame anyway...well, my kid is that adorable...so there frame companies!! I've beaten you at your own game! Your mearly cute children in frames is nothing compared to the raw power of Eshter's dimples....bwaaaaahahahahahahahahaah...or something.



and I think i get to go the the 40oz show in Vancouver!! It'll be hard to be away from Pancake...I'm the one who puts her to bed, but it should be fun to see my friends, and people who I've only met via blogs and stuff...hope to see you there?

Well, I've finished my bottles...

So here's some photos of my bottles for the forty show....once I finished them, I realized three things....one, that painting on bottles is haaaaard...two, that I'm not a good painter (tho it is fun), and three, these looked soooooooooo much better in my head...so forgive me. Color really isn't my forte...I'm most comfortable with pencil and/or ink...maybe one or two colors tops...anyway...i have no idea how much to price these things...I'll let Mike price them...hehe...


I was playing around with sponges on the monkey bottle...it didn't turn out that well...kinda hard to have any kind of stencil with a bottle...and plus, I've just never done it before...

and here's one of Esther...and her banana slug hair clip that Karin made...damn...i feckin' love this thing...so does Esther...so, bug her 'bout making tons more so you can buy them too!! She has a whole bunch of different animals and stuff...chicken leg, dead fish, octpopus...and all of them are the rad.

here's the inital sketch that inspired one of my bottles for the forty show in vancouver. I might even be able to go to the show...and crash on schmiddy's couch, which is always fun...but he now apparently has face eating kittens now, so that should be nice. anyway...the show should be pretty cool...mike g is putting it together. some crap for you to behold

so yeah. Yesterday Esther went to the doctor's again for her follow up..and got four shots, two per thigh...which completly sucked. it totally sucks having to hold your kid down while someone sticks them with needles...and one of the shots was the flu shot...another was polio....i forgot what the others were, protection against groundhogs i think. Anyway...she got a fever last night...she was miserable...couldn't get comfortable and stuff...we gave her some tylonol or how ever you speel it...too lazy to look it up. This morning she was all smiley and happy, not feverish...so yay!!! I hate not being able to help her. sigh...i suck. anyway...how was your evening?
