animation that i did at Suckerpunch...

so, these are some of the animations I did for sly 3. I modeled a couple of them, but I was mainly responsible for animation there. It was a very fun gig...oh, and there's some bits like the elephant bat's nose that don't look animated, that's because there was some proprietary software that would take care of that...anyway...here's some of my in game animation and the last bit was just for fun...and stuff....with a dash of things...and sorry 'bout the loudness of the music...I just threw this together in a few minutes...so deal.

...but maybe I can get someone to take a photo for me so's I can get it up on here...but in the meantime, here's a rough sketch of a new tat I want to get in honor of my grandpa. the story behind why I'd get a busty redhead with my grandpa's name in the banner is as follows...every Christmas, when asked what he wanted for a gift, grandpa would say "a redhead with a pair of 54's"...apparently he didn't really know that much about cup sizes and whatnot...or it was some cool hip slang from the 40's...dunno...so when we'd be opening gifts he'd shake a box or two, and say "this doesn't sound like my redhead". Anyway...he kicked major bootay and was my male role model, he taught me what it means to be a man...well, sorta...he taught me all the responsibility stuff and to always tip your waitress. As well as passing on a love for all things boobies...so yeah. It's his fault....anyway, enjoy.

well, finished one painting...

But first here's some doodles I did after the milestone was over...so enjoy them..





and here's the first painting...I'm doing droopy tomorrow...i went in a little different direction with red...a little more designy or something...keep in mind that I'm not a painter...I like painting, but I'm going to try some different paints next time...maybe liquid acrylic or something...or maybe cartoon colors...and I think I might start painting larger, cuz my small brushes are all frayed and my line control isn't that great...I get all nervous with ink or paint...but anyway...feel free to judge me...or point and laugh, or say that I'm soo awesome that you'd want to take me out for dinner and buy me a nice big juicy steak, and then try to get fresh before dessert arrives...

and for god measure, here's a photo of Esther tweaking the cat's ear. Notice the pinkie out form. She's such a lady.

hey new post, and it's not even your birthday!!

hey kids, it's me again...yes..I know...milestone is finished, i'm drawin' a bit more, sorta...well, I should be drawin's more, but i haven't been...I know, I suck. Anyway, I've got a show comin' up, called Saturday morning...where you can do anything associated with Saturday mornin'..i.e. cereal, cartoons, playfull kicks to the head, any of it. So, of course I had to do Tex Avery. More specifically, Red and Droopy. So, below you'll find my really crappy rough sketches for the paintings I'm going to be doin'.


I'm kinda liking this one, more blocky and not a complete rip off of the character model sheet.

but there's something to be said about this one with a little more roundness...dunno yet, let you know when it's done which one i use....which should be soon...this weekend is the last days I'll have to work on it....giggle, giggle, snort, gulp...

And here's my Red with the wolf. I went more of a rockabilly chick with her, tho I'll prolly switch back to her more iconic hair...i just thought it'd be funny if the wolf was all gaga over droopy in a thong and pasties...i plan on trying to make the background look a little like watercolor, tho, I suck at watercolor, and all I have are acrylics...so I'll just water them down a bit and see how it turns out...anyway...wish me luck, and I'll post the finished pieces up here when finished and done'd....so go check out Esther's blog to see the new awesome photos that Huddle posted tonight. Sorry baby, I've been busy...

Okay, so it's been a while again...been busy at work and stuff...so I neglected you. I know you missed me, but c'mon baby, the time has been good for us...hasn't it? I mean, really, now you're practically begging me to post...It's okay...I missed you too.

The below drawin's are some early concepts for a 2d sidescroller game I want to make...a la Metal Slug...I want to make it look like a cartoon, complete with watercolor backgrounds and stuff...I might try and do it in flash, tho I don't know any action scripting, so I'll prolly have to do the grab some engine or some code of the internetwebs. Anyway...I'll be trying to do it in my free time, so don't hold your breath...the fun part is coming up with the characters...

It's a 20's/30's Mobster theme. You'd play as an Elliot Ness type of guy..trying to take down the big boss...so each level would be taking out his lieutenants to find out where he is or drive him outta hiding or something...
This lovely lady is "Chesty McBoob", and she's in charge of the prostitution ring...she'd be the final boss on her level, and once you get to her, she'd kick her boob holder aside and float in the air surrounded by fire or something waving her boobies in the air, trying to smash you with them...or something.

And this lil' lass is one of the Prostitute cannon fodder that will try to stop you from getting to the madame.

And here's an early draft of the "Don", I'm basing him off of Don Knotts...just 'cuz he's funny.

So, yeah...what's new with me you ask...well, not a whole lot, just working, making up dad stuff as I go along, and fighting Chuck Norris on the weekends...I usually let him win...he's old and his ego is sooo fragile. Anyway...have a good week...and I'll really try to post more soon...I just don't have much down time now that I'm happily employed and stuff...so...werd. Werd up.

more drawings!!! this is the initial sketch for a painting I'm going to do for the good vs. evil show this December. We have to do one good painting one evil painting, so I'm going to do two zombie cowboys...mirror images of each other, one in a black hat, one in a white hat...the "evil" zombie will be saying "brains", while the other will say kittens or something...haven't really decided yet...but at least i started...well, i have an idea anyway...

so Esther dropped by my work yesterday to show off her Yoda costume...freakin' sooo cute...as Dev said "something that cute should come with it's own vomit bag"...which i agree...sometimes she's just soo cute it gives you stomach cramps...it's awesome. Anyway...she sat on my lap and took over my photoshop session...and this is what she came up with...nice huh? she's already doing the thick to thin lines and stuff...she's brilliant!

Another 15-20 minute sketch...i'm loving doing these little quick drawrings...granted the art that comes out of it is so-so, but it's forcing me to be a little more sloppy, i mean, sketchy...which I like...and it's forcing me to just go with things, and try to not overthink stuff...it's not really helping my line quality, but i think it will eventually...if not, I will take it out back and shoot it. Anyway...just thought I'd let you kids know.

screw the work in progress...

So the thing was to make a creepy/horror themed cereal box cover...so I decided to go with the Creature from the Black Lagoon...because he's often forgotten aboot...and here is what I did...I don't know if I'm happy with it or not...it seems a little bland and crap...I tried to make it look somewhat like the poster...yet a cereal box at the same time...I dunno...eh. Anyway..feel free to critique and tear it apart. I won't hurt you...I'll just cry in the corner like I do every night...oh, and Esther's now eating apples...so that's pretty cool. She's also eating other babies...I'm not sure what that's all about, but I think that's just standard toddler behavior. She has to try out her new teeth. Anyway...don't forget to call your mother and tip your waitress.

I done apologizing for being busy...hehe...for now...anyway...just thought I'd show you a work in progress version of what I'm doing for this thing for that guy with the face...it's a mixture of photoshop and flash...anyway...not much for a post I know, but it's in color and stuff...so that should count for something, right? I'd show you more, but I'm going to stretch it out over a couple of posts because I'm evil that way...kiss kiss...hug hug, and fondle, fondle.

holy crap...has that much time transpired?!?

wow...over a month...sheesh...well, i guess you deserve an explanation...works been really great and really busy...milestone and all...plus Huddle went to Alaska for five days leaving me in charge of Esther....and she decided that the day Huddle left was the time to try climbin' outta the crib and doing an awesome flip and landing flat on her back. it was a 9.1...she didn't stick the landing...but, she's only 17 months...give her time...also, i've been asked to do a picture for a coffeetable book...i'll show you kids when i finish it...it should be soon...soo much has gone on and is going on...the wife and I are making the move to the east side..we'll be about a ten minute walk from work...which is totally aresome. uh...what else...i got to work with Mr. Trussell on some fun stuff..and...and....Esther really likes me. so i have that going for me, which is nice. Anyway, have a good evening, and i'll talk to you real soon...honest. cross my fingers.
