Travel dates

okay, sorry it's been a little while since my last post, but it's been pretty hectic here at work. Oh, and the wife and I finally got our travel authorization...We leave for China on the 14th of December, get our daughter on the 18th, then come home on the 28th....So...That's like two weeks away and stuff....So, I'm freaking out again.

oh, the drawings are just some crap that I drew whilst the computer was a'renderin', and the last little animated GIF was made by Joel to commemorate my run cycle I animated for his commercial. If you haven't seen it..You should. It's awesome. He let me animate a bunch on this one. Here's the link:
Joel's commercial. I tried to use the other link he gave me, but it's not working right now...So there's that...So for this one you have to wait for a bit...Then a bunch of beasties will appear above the persons heed...Wait for the words to go away and choose one...joel's is the second from the right on top. werd up.

nippleman

just something I drew whilst my computer was exporting...He's basically evil eye, but taller and with more detail...But same basic nipples. But his favorite color is green. I didn't have any pink colored pencils...But I'm thinking if I do anything with him, his speedos will be pink, and his boots and gloves will be a red to pink gradient. Or something. Maybe white...For lactation...Or something. Anyway...Feel free to judge it harshly...Just keep in mind that I'm in a fragile state of mind at the moment....And a really harsh criticism of this might send me over the edge. I might snap and start killing people with my tongue hair. So be careful.

still no travel date

so quit asking...sheesh. well, you can still ask...didn't mean to snap at you..but i've been under a lot of pressure at work, you know how it goes baby, wait...don't leave...anyway, while you're out don't forget the creamed corn. Daddy likes.

Georgetown artjam was awesome!!!

awwwwww yeah....Augie and his friend Corrie Greening put together an awesome thang this past Saturday. It was an live artjam! A bunch of artists getting together at the 9lb hammer, and painting in front of drinking customers! It was bitchin'! It was a bit nerve wracking to say the least. When my turn came I didn't realize that I was nervous, but my hand was shaking..Odd...Anyway...The art was then put up for sale in an adjacent room, and the art couldn't be priced for over fifty bucks!! So, people got some great art for cheap prices! I'm totally going to do it again, but this time, I'll stay later...Here's some photos of the evening stolen from Augie's blog. Enjoy.

you can just make out my shoulder on the right here...The only way I could tell it was me is by my hawt new red and white sneakers, and my buff butt.

Karin rocked it with a chicken/jawa painting. This guy bought it. He doesn't really know how lucky he is. Next time, I wanna collaborate with Karin...She totally rocks.

Here's a colab piece betwixt Joe Kresoja and Shane white. Awesomeness.

Here's Bart's piece! He's awesome as well...in fact, if you kids have any hot sisters for him to date, feel free to email me or him and hook him up. He's nice to the ladies.

and here's an image of my and Corrie's pieces. Photo's not the best quality, but it's me pregnant. That's kinda on my mind at the moment. my piece was mostly sharpie, and it sold!! Oh my goodness! My first sell! Apparently achohol inhibits some peoples ability to reason. Mainly the guy who bought that piece. Anyway...It was fun. You should try it, I highly recommend it.

oh, and sorry it's been a while since my last post...I've been kinda freaking out 'bout how cute my future daughter is. I'll let you all know once we get a travel date and such. As for now, keep your head held high, and your hands in your pockets, but always keep your wallet in your front pocket when in large crowds. And don't forget to brush.

Here she is....

so all you boys back off!! Here is Esther Xiao Pan Blakefield (still debating on combining them to form the giant crimefighting mega space robot: Xiaopan). She's gorgeous, and already a super model. Awesome!! Look at that punum. Fierce!!!! So far her health looks good. I mean, look at those cheeks.

So, I'm going to freak out now, so I'll talk at you later. Peas out.

For all hallow's eve.

Portland was fun!! I got my butt caressed by some drunk girl. Well, she could've been feeling for my wallet, but I'll just pretend that it was my awesome butt flexing abilities that drew her over. Have a happy Halloween and stuff.

Off to Portland this weekend

with the wife to go to Stumptown Comic Fest. Yay!! So, I decided that to commemorate the occasion by leaving you with an image of Ben Franklin bowling. And yes, I drew Ben because I visited Gabe Swarr's blog. Ben is such an interesting character...I wanted to try him....So there you goes. I give you the before crappy photoshop coloring so's you can enjoy my poor inking skills. Feel free to send me money. I just wanted to say that. You can always feel free to send me money. I'm not against charity. 'Specially the monetary kind. And just in case you were wondering, no photo yet...No call 'bout the photo yet...So yeah...Still waiting on the whole photo of our daughter thing. Sigh. Yay.

Illustration Friday: Ghost

That darn Scooby. He's always leaving some sort of mess. Anyway...No news yet for the whole adoption thing. We think we might be getting our photo sometime this week...or possibly next week...and then I'll post it here, and we can all go "awwwww" together as a collective. Then, you can come over, once we get her of course, and you can change some poopy diapers. Wait...where are you going? Come back. Fine...be that way...you never did care for me. Just leave. You're good at that...I'm sorry...why do we scream at each other...this is what it sounds like when the doves cry..."boohooohooohoooohoo". Just thought you should know.

Just some random sketches

anyway...So, it's officially October. And that means that the photo of Esther should be arriving this month...Later this month we'll have a photo of our little girl. I think I just soiled myself. Both with glee and fear. But I digress. I'm going to go eat my lasagna now. by myself. Apparently, the fish I had for lunch yesterday stunk up the microwave and everyone's annoyed at me. So, think happy thoughts for me, as I weep uncontrollably from my lonely, lonely little island of desperate loneliness, while I throw a pity party rave of epic proportions. Complete with e and the whistles and glow necklaces and cat in the hat hats and stuff. Well, maybe not the e. But still...Oh, maybe some black lights. Yeah, that'll show off my Hendrix poster. Cool. See you there.

Some more goodies from the trashcan...

so anyway...Just to type it so it sinks in...Huddle found out that the two groups ahead of us in the adoption roster have received referrals. So that means that, barring China taking the whole month of October off, or if I die in a horrible tragic tractor accident involving a cow, some feta cheese and a plunger, we'll be receiving our photo next month...Which is kinda scary yet exciting at the same time. So, uh, yeah.

enjoy your day, and don't eat the sandwich in the fridge. It may look good, but it's been in there for like a month, and that's not lettuce...I think that's the cheese.

forget what I said about talking on the bus...

This lady talked to me yesterday...So I was all excited...But then I found out that she didn't want me to answer any of her questions. She just wanted to talk...And me to bounce the sound waves off of my face back at her or something. So, yeah, don't talk on the bus. Unless you actually want to engage in some small talk. cuz, really, the bus isn't the place for deep philosophical discussions...

and here's some crap that I'll be throwing out soon. Enjoy.

Two posts in two days??!!???

I know, it's a miracle. Anyway...I saw this guy on the bus today, on my way to work, and I had to draw him when I was supposed to be working. he was this big guy, with an overbite and had a really flat back of the head with just a hint of flesh bump. I might have made some other people on the bus uncomfortable with my staring. I just love how we're all on the bus together, going to various places, and no one is happy. Or if they are, they're not sharing it with anyone. We all just endure the bus ride in silence. It struck me as funny today. I see these people almost everyday, and I haven't talked to a single one. I don't want to come off as some sort of perv/freak anymore than I do normally, I guess. Would it be so bad if people actually talked on the bus, with other people I mean. There's those people who talk to themselves, of course, but that doesn't count. I guess the world would end.

I also drew myself as a youngling with three of my favorite possessions I had as a five year old. My shogun Godzilla, my pudding pops (which I just found at safeway, and they taste just as good as I remember them), and my mork glittery ironed on picture/saying shirts. I had like five of them or something. Along with the suspenders. I was sooooo stylin.

anyway. If you ride the bus, try talking to people, or at least smile. You can get arrested and have an interesting story to tell your grandkids.

Some painting ideas....

I wanted to do some painting again, so I came up with a few ideas, some of which are too stoopit to post. These are the least stoopit, so, uh, yeah. I'm thinking of doing a bunch of wonder woman in many different moods. Anyway...I like Lynda Carter. Well, a young Lynda Carter. She was vury hot. I also have a thing for a young Erin Grey. And your mom. Your mom is hot.

Illustration Friday: safe

I decided to go on the cute side to show the ladies just how sensitive I am. But remember, I'm also extremely macho and manly. I have the chest hair to prove it. And my official Man club card, where you get 50% off manly purchases such as hair grease, and nose hair trimmers. Enjoy.

Bossy McBoss and some sockpuppets

Just a couple of drawins that I did whilst waiting for the scene to build...so how was your day? I was just curious, because you seem happier. Ah, sorry. That's anger? okay.....now I know.

anyway...I just wanted to give a shout out and a huge THANK YOU to Jared Chapman for putting me up on drawn. It was really awesome of him, and your check is in the mail. Here's the actual posting...I'm a bit late on this, because I've been kinda locked in the closet again...and no, not the tom cruise closet, but the one in the hallway. The one with the spiders...yeah, that one. Anyhoo...thanks mange...you rock.

there was some foozball action that night as well, i don't play it, but i make a good watcher.

adam and pat listening to schmiddy's tale of how he escaped the winged batteringram of the north.

i rolled a six in my drink...yay.

see? I have a finger. I wasn't lying...

Also, check out
Joel's blog to see his latest video. I had the pleasure of working with him on it, and can I just tell you? Joel's designs are soooooo feckin' beautimus. He really is a genius. So go there now....or go here.

new painting

Here's a new painting that I did for illustration friday, but it's a bit too late. So I'll just post it along with the original sketch idea for the painting. This was an enjoyable painting to do...I decided to take my time and try patience as apposed to loose speed and slop. Anyway..feel free to destroy my ego and rip it apart...I enjoy a little beating now and again. Just don't try to use that whip thing that you tried to use last time. I wasn't expecting it. You can't just spring something like that one a guy without any kind of notice. I mean, c'mon...we only had like one glass of wine, and, okay...I decided to let the comment you made about my man boobs slide, but then you had to go and get all freaky and stuff....so, yeah...just give me some notice nextime. K? Good.

more fun with markers...

I feekin' love these prismacolor markers...they're fun...I'm nowhere near the ability of Anton Bogaty or John K., but it's still fun...I suggest you try them...it's fun for the whole family, including the small woodland creatures out in your back yard. But don't invite old Mrs. Henderson. She doesn't like fun. Only commies have fun.

Oh, and now there's a Skunk Fu blog up...check 'em out...it would be such a fun project to work on.
